After the major storms that ran through Texas after Christmas, Realty Times has posted this article about what to do in the event of a natural disaster. While Washington is thankfully low in the natural disaster status, the heavy rain we get during the winter does cause flooding in some areas, especially valleys.
This article includes a link to FloodSmart.gov, and offers some safety precautions to take in case you live in an area prone to flooding. Avoid flooded roadways and flowing streams, or keeping tabs on the radio to get the latest storm information. Make sure to check out the article for more info!
